The long road trip to Echuca saw a couple of club legends and old boys pull on the jersey to help fill the numbers in the reserves, as the Bloods were yet again short on personnel.
Echuca got off to a great start, with a nice breeze.
Their young legs were able to spread the ball well from the contest and deliver accurately into their forward line, giving the Bloods defenders a difficult task and creating plenty of headaches for the coaching panel.
In the second quarter a few jobs were handed out to stop the bleeding.
Drew Eddy and Harry John were given tasks to stick to a couple of players and were able to do a good job.
However, a couple of players went down with injuries forcing the Bloods down to one on the bench.
In the end Echuca showed far more class and ran out convincing winners.
Thanks to Dave Farrell, Al Saraikin and Scotty Baldwin for helping us out.
