Junior College Top 40 event will be held at Clayton State University july 20-23
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College women’s basketball player Amelia Hassett has been invited to play in the Junior College Top 40 event at Clayton State University in Atlanta.
The Albury New South Wales, Australia native started 33 games for the Titans in her freshman season, averaging 8.9 points and 7.2 rebounds per game while also averaging 1.3 steals and 1.5 blocks.
The event is an NJCAA-sanctioned event for the top 40 junior college women’s basketball players in the country. The players will be divided into teams, hold practice and then play games against each other.
This season, the event will be held at Clayton State University from July 20 to 23.
Hassett and the Titans won the Region VIII Championship for the first time in program history.
They reached the semifinals of the national tournament for the first time, finishing with a school-record 33 wins.
