Donald “Don” H. Koehler, 85, Green Bay, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2023. He was born September 17, 1937, in Gladstone, MI to Henry and Larena (Horchner) Koehler.
Don graduated from High School in Escanaba, MI. He married Roberta Porath on July 20, 1957. Together they had two sons, William and Mark. Don worked in Milwaukee as an apprentice machinist until he moved to Green Bay. He then worked at Fort Howard Paper as a machinist until his retirement at age 62. Don was a devoted Christian and for 63 years he was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church. He enjoyed hunting, woodworking and spending time in nature.
He is survived by his wife, Roberta; sons, William “Bill” (Susan) Koehler, Mark (Annette) Koehler; grandsons, Matthew (Sarah) Koehler, Michael (Ashley) Koehler, Jacob Koehler, Eric Ming; great-grandchildren, Isaac, Lilliana, Malachi, Maya, Josephine; sister, Arlene Rajala; other relatives and friends.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Larena; sister, Maxine Mattson.
Friends and family will gather at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, May 26; The Funeral Service to follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Paul Schleis officiating.
