The Role
- Fixed term (up to 5 years), Full time
- Senior remuneration package in the range of $163,072 – $203,840 pa (including 17% superannuation)
- Bathurst, Dubbo, Orange or Wagga Wagga
As the Director, Student Skills, you will be responsible for providing high-level expert, strategic and policy advice, managing the Student Skills team, writing reports, and facilitating internal and external communication to ensure the effective development of para-academic skills in our students.
You will be leading a team who support students throughout their studies with the development of literacy, numeracy, language, leadership and career skills. Additionally, you will be encouraging agile and resilient approaches to innovation to improve retention, support successful graduands and ensure the career readiness of our students.
Ideally you will have a strong skill base in policy development, career development and educational design.
To be successful you will have
- Proven leadership in a range of demanding and influential roles.
- Leadership experience that shows your capacity to develop a sense of unity and cooperation amongst staff.
- A degree with substantial experience and extension of theories and principles; or a range of management experience; or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through any other combination of education, training and/or experience.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, including leading a team and influencing diverse stakeholders.
- Highly developed organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated commitment to applying culturally respectful and safe practices in the workplace.
