The Role
- Fixed term (up to 5 years), Full time
- Senior remuneration package in the range of $163,072 – $203,840 pa (including 17% superannuation)
- Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Dubbo, Orange, Port Macquarie or Wagga Wagga
As the Director, Academic Quality and Standards, you will be responsible for achieving and maintaining academic quality and standards at Charles Sturt University.
In this senior management position, you will be providing leadership in policy development to support academic quality and compliance monitoring, curriculum management, academic misconduct and integrity, and associated reporting within the University governance framework. As Director, you will be leading a team of academic and professional staff to ensure compliance with the Higher Education Standards Framework and other standards to support delivery of quality educational outcomes and student experience.
To be successful you will have
- In depth understanding of academic quality and standards in the higher education sector gained from the completion of post graduate qualifications in a relevant discipline and 10 years work experience; or equivalent level of knowledge obtained through any combination of education, training and experience.
- Demonstrated ability to provide high level strategic and policy advice in relation to sector best practice.
- Extensive experience in policy, compliance and governance including the Higher Education Standards Framework.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, communicate and influence people across work units, foster a collegial work environment and work collaboratively and independently in a large complex academic setting.
- Knowledge and understanding of university governance and operations.
