Destination Gold Coast is giving two lucky travel agents and trade support staff the chance to holiday on the Gold Coast!
To enter, agents simply need to sign up for the Destination Gold Coast trade newsletter and outline in 50 words or less what they’d include in their ultimate Gold Coast getaway.
It sounds like an easy task, but agents might have a tough time whittling down their ultimate itinerary given the scope of experiences on offer across the Gold Coast.
During the pandemic alone, over $1 billion was invested by the public and private sector to inject state-of-the-art and world-first attractions across the city.
Highlights include:
- The launch of new attractions across all Gold Coast theme parks such as the thrilling Steel Taipan roller-coaster – the Southern Hemisphere’s first triple launch roller coaster – at Dreamworld, and the immersive The New Atlantis precinct with three signature new attractions at Sea World.
- A state-of-the-art new arts and culture gallery expansion to the region’s growing Home Of The Arts (HOTA) precinct.
- Expanding the Gold Coast Dive Trail with the world’s first buoyant reef, Wonder Reef.
- Over 3,000 new premium accommodation room nights including The Langham, The Star Residences, The Dorsett, and through upgrades to existing properties including QT Gold Coast and The JW Marriott Resort Gold Coast.
From the entries received, two lucky agents – one from Australia and one from New Zealand – will win a four-night stay on the Gold Coast, including $500 flight credit to help get them to the region, worth more than $2,300 AUD. And best of all, they can choose their travel dates – and bring along a friend or family member!
There’s also five $100 Gift Cards on offer to runners-up in each country.
By entering the competition, agents will also join Destination Gold Coast’s trade e-newsletter where they’ll be able to stay up-to date on all the exciting developments across Australia’s Favourite Playground.
They’ll also be amongst the first to hear of upcoming Destination Gold Coast roadshows, webinars, and competitions.
Destination Gold Coast’s interim chief operating officer, Rachel Hancock said there’s no better way to connect with the Gold Coast.
“Destination Gold Coast remains committed to our travel agent and trade partners across Australia and New Zealand,” Hancock said.
“As Australia’s Favourite Playground, we know that many consumers have a good understanding of much of our legacy experiences and attractions. But as the Gold Coast continues to evolve, so does our storytelling.”
“So, we want to ensure our trade partners join us on this journey and are in the best position to share our new stories with their customers.”
“We can’t wait to see the calibre of the entries submitted, and to welcome the two lucky winners to the Gold Coast for a first-hand experience of just some of our newest offerings.” The competition closes at 5:00pm Friday, 30 June.
