From 1 July 2023, eligible international higher education graduates will be granted post-study work rights for an additional two years. The maximum number of hours allowed for international students to work will increase from 40 to 48 hours per fortnight.
*Reminder: Not all graduates’ work permits will be extended, and they need to meet 2 requirements:“the nominated occupation is on the Skilled Occupation List” and“the course enrolled is on the list of certified courses”.
For international students who want to work part-time, gain industry experience, and live in Australia for a longer period of time, this is definitely good news to celebrate.
