WE’RE bringing you the second half of our chat with Dale Wood on this week’s episode of the V8 Sleuth Podcast.
Following on from Part 1 last week, he talks about making it to the ‘main game’ with Kelly Racing and the way he found out he was being replaced mid-way through his rookie season, his return to the Dunlop Series and his title-winning season in 2013. He then chats about his second spell in the Supercars Championship, driving for Brad Jones Racing, Kelly Racing and Erebus Motorsport, and opens up on a 2017 that he describes as the ‘worst year of his life’.
He also chats about his 2014 blow-up with Nick Percat, then becoming his co-driver at BJR – plus how he nearly forced to miss the 2021 Bathurst 1000 and the star driver he’d lined up as a replacement – and he tackles your National Motor Racing Museum Couch Racer Questions.
