Celebrity supermodel Gabriella Brooks opened the highly-anticipated Cue show at Afterpay Australian Fashion Week in Sydney.
On the fourth night of fashion’s biggest event of the season, Brooks donned a flowing black, Cue maxi dress and strutted the spotlit catwalk.
Brooks’ turn on the Cue runway was not the only special occasion for the model that day. It was also her 27th birthday.
Unfortunately, her film star boyfriend Liam Hemsworth was nowhere to be seen.
Brooks and Hemsworth began dating in 2019 and have quietly been together for three years. The relationship immediately followed the end of Hemsworth’s high-profile marriage to singer Miley Cyrus.

Brooks wore two black looks for the Cue runway, including the aforementioned maxi dress. The second was a midriff-baring, one shoulder structured top, paired with low-rise trousers.
On the whole, Cue presented a sleek and youthful runway of 70 different looks, featuring a mix of classic and on-trend pieces, including metallic mesh tops and silk trousers.
Despite its new turn, the 55-year-old Australian brand maintained some of its legacy tailoring and structure.

Brooks wasn’t the only well-known face to strut the Cue catwalk.
Australian supermodel Gemma Ward walked Cue’s AAFW debut, as well as other shows this fashion week, including Aje.

The runway marked Cue’s first ever runway presentation at Afterpay Australian Fashion Week (AAFW). Titled ‘Show 01′, it offered a first glimpse at a contemporary new direction set to appeal to new generations of Australian women.
The Summer collection focused on luxurious fabrics, including pure silk (the brand’s first use of such).
For its denim products, Cue opted for sustainable Good Earth Australian cotton denim.
It also featured looks made of metallic knitwear, jersey, wet-look velveteen and crepe.

Cue Brand Manager Kate Bielenberg, introduced it as “Cue but not as you know it”.
“We’ve subverted the brand’s codes and played with silhouettes and proportions,” she said. “Show 01 is a melting pot of colliding forces: glamour vs grunge, luxury vs street, minimalism vs maximalism.”
