A community forum is being held this weekend allowing locals to raise questions with Geelong councillors about library services.
Many were locked out of a council meeting last week, unable to raise their concerns about the cut to library hours.
A proposal is in place to close most facilities, except for central Geelong, on Saturday afternoons and Sundays due to budget cuts.
Angela Carr from the Save Geelong West Library Campaign said the facilities were important to the city.
“Whilst they provide really important early literacy programs, they’re also a place,” she said.
“They’re a community hub for isolated members of the community to feel connected.”
Ms Carr said anyone who felt they were not heard at the council meeting can head along.
“The behaviour by the council last Tuesday was disgraceful and it didn’t show any respect for us as community members.
“There were so many people there that were in shock and disbelief that we were treated so unfairly.”
Mayor Trent Sullivan said the meeting had reached capacity limits.
The forum will be held at the Geelong West Town Hall Supper Room from 10am.
