Mildura Rural City Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Jenkins as General Manager Healthy Communities as part of the ongoing rollout of the Organisational Sustainability Review.
Council’s Chief Executive Officer Martin Hawson said Mark’s broad-ranging role would have a strong focus on the health and well-being of the community.
“Mark has an incredibly diverse range of management experience in the local government sector, overseeing everything from waste management through to the arts over more than four decades,” Mr Hawson said.
“This vast experience, combined with his qualifications, makes him the ideal person to lead a branch responsible for ensuring everyone in our community feels included and connected while ensuring access to health and other importance services, such as parks and open spaces.”
As General Manager Healthy Communities, Mark will be responsible for Community Care, Community Partnerships, Libraries and Knowledge Hubs and Parks and Recreation Services.
Mr Hawson said it was encouraging to have almost completed the first round of appointments as part of the organisation’s restructure and looked forward to making further announcements in the near future.
