A man has been killed at a mine project in WA’s Pilbara region, the second fatality to rock the resources sector this month.
An incident at Mineral Resources’ Onslow Iron project on Monday resulted in the death of a contractor at the Ken’s Bore site, the company said.

WA Police are treating the death as non-suspicious.
MinRes managing director Chris Ellison said the company was “shocked and deeply saddened by this tragedy”.
“Our thoughts are with the family, friends and the whole Onslow Iron team, and our focus is on supporting them during this difficult time,” Ellison said.
MinRes said it is working to provide care and support to the contractor’s family and site team.
Operations at the site, which was previously promoted for its luxurious worker accommodation, have been suspended and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
WorkSafe and the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety are flying to the site.
The tragedy comes less than two weeks after Michael Jurman was killed at Woodside’s North Rankin Complex, about 135km northwest of Karratha on June 2.
Poignant tributes flooded in for the late contractor and close to $40,000 has been raised for a fund honouring his life.
Jurman’s death came on the same day a 62-year-old crane worker died at a work site in Applecross, in Perth’s southern suburbs.
“It’s with extreme sadness that we acknowledge the loss of another construction worker this morning. A brother of the hook working on a site in Applecross,” the Construction Forestry Maritime Mining Energy Union said.
