Conor McGregor is the richest MMA fighter in the world and can be considered the face of the sport. With financially successful PPVs such as UFC 196, UFC 202, UFC 205, UFC 229, and UFC 246 under his belt, Conor has a net worth of $200 million. But behind his success, Conor’s fiance Dee Devlin played a crucial role. Along with his family, Dee was one of the main motivations behind his career.
The couple met in 2008 at a nightclub in Ireland and have been together ever since. From witnessing Conor’s UFC debut in 2013 to having three beautiful children together, Dee and Conor have had a journey that has lasted nearly 15 years. However, just before Dee’s 33rd birthday, Conor finally popped the question and asked Devlin to marry him.
Conor then posted a picture of Dee wearing a diamond ring. It signified that the couple was officially engaged. McGregor’s even included “my future wife” in the caption of the Instagram post. But, since then, things have been quiet on that front.
In the meanwhile, Dee got a tattoo of Conor’s name on her body. “The Notorious One” even accidentally posted a video of their intimate moment from his yacht. So when is Dee making the walk down the aisle? Conor has an update regarding that.
Conor McGregor gives an update regarding his wedding with Dee Devlin
Conor McGregor is a man with a plan. At the start of his UFC career, the Dublin native attained the nickname “Mystique Mac” as Conor revealed his plans on how he would finish his fights and his opponents. More often than not, his predictions came true as well. So fans should take it seriously when McGregor says his dream wedding is going to be “extravagant.”
Ahead of his UFC 257 bout against Dustin Poirier in 2021, Conor finally revealed his plans on what his visions are for the special day.
In an interview with Extratv, Conor said, “My wedding is going to be extravagant, that’s for damn sure. We are gonna have the best of the best of the best, and then more to the best. We have got to find the location; it’s going to be Ireland, I’m gonna get married in the Emerald Isle, and then figure it out, so it’s a big process. Let’s see what happens, I’m ready for it all.”
It looks like Dee and Conor are certainly heading in the right direction and the wedding is certainly on the cards. Following his UFC 264 injury, McGregor has been an extremely busy man with several ventures.
The Irish fighter shot his debut Hollywood movie the “Road House” remake with Jake Gyllenhaal. On top of that, he also appeared in the 31st season of “The Ultimate Fighter” with Michael Chandler opposite him.
Plus, he also invested significant time in his rehab to recover from the leg break in July 2021. With him not willing to walk away from the sport anytime soon, Conor may put his wedding plans on the back burner.
However, there is no doubt that Conor and Dee are planning to say their vows to each other sooner or later and the ceremony will indeed take place in their home country, Ireland.
