Toowoomba Police have been out and about in the community with the Mobile Police Beat, attending shopping centres, sports grounds and community events in the Toowoomba area to connect with residents.
If members of the community see the Police Beat at some of these community locations, please feel welcome to come and speak with officers about any concerns or to discuss any information on crime prevention, property security and motor vehicle security.
Sergeant Scott McGrath from the Toowoomba Crime Prevention Unit has been taking part in the increased presence to ensure communities feel supported.
“We have a lot of people who stop to have a chat and often express their appreciation for the work the Queensland police are doing in keeping the community safe,” said Sergeant McGrath.
“Going to the shopping centres and community events enables us as police to engage with lots of people, talk about safety concerns and provide prevention advice”.
Toowoomba police will continue to have the Mobile Police Beat out in the community.
