For the second time in a month, the polls are opening in Chicago.

Advance voting for the city’s runoff election begins Monday and runs through Election Day, April 4.

Early voting locations will open in all 50 precincts and two downtown locations, including the Chicago Board of Election Commissioners’ Supersite at 191 N. Clark St.

Each polling station will also be open on election day. Secure drop boxes for voting by post will also be available at all polling stations.

Voters can use any site regardless of their registered address.

The sites will be open 9am to 5pm on weekdays; 9am to 5pm on Saturdays; 10am to 4pm on Sundays; and 06:00 to 19:00 on election day.

Extended business hours from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. will be held at the Supersite and at the Board of Elections offices at 69 W. Washington St. from March 27 to 31 and again on April 3. The board offices will not be open on election day.

In addition, three universities will organize early voting, but only on 29-31. March, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Chicago State University (9501 S. King Dr.), Northeastern University (5500 N. St. Louis Ave.) and the University of Chicago (Reynolds Club, 1131 E. 57th St.).

The city is also seeking applications for additional poll workers at pollworker.chicagoelections.gov.

Nearly 132,000 Chicago residents cast early ballots in the first round of municipal voting last month, making up nearly a quarter of all ballots cast.
