Cheyenne police have released photos of the four males who they say robbed the Maverik gas station at 140 Gardenia Drive early yesterday (Thursday) morning.
Public Information Officer Alex Farkas says the quartet (pictured above) entered the store around 3:15 a.m. and began walking through the aisles.
Farkas says one of the males approached an employee behind the counter and asked him about an item in the beverage cooler.
When the employee walked away from the counter and toward the cooler, two of the males grabbed him and held him to the ground.
“While the employee was held down, the other two males filled bags with merchandise and fled from the store on foot,” said Farkas.
“One of the remaining males approached the employee, reached into his waistband, and demanded that he open the cash register,” Farkas added.
Farkas says the employee then grabbed a price gun from behind the counter and swung it at the males, and they fled on foot.
“It is believed the subjects entered a dark-colored passenger vehicle following the incident,” said Farkas.
Fortunately, no one was injured during the robbery.
Anyone who recognizes the suspects or knows their whereabouts is asked to call Detective Pendleton at 307-633-6666.
