The One New Zealand Warriors cleared away from the Raiders 34-16 to complete a club double in today’s 15th-round New South Wales Cup encounter in Canberra.
Like their NRL counterparts last night, Canberra had an early 6-0 lead before the Warriors dug in to level with a converted try to replacement winger Sanele Aukusitino.
Another followed for interchange forward Nick Halalilo in the 31st minute to help the side to a 12-6 halftime lead.
While the Warriors conceded a try three minutes into the second half to have their lead cut to 12-10, they then took control of the contest with three tries in the space of nine minutes.
Teenaged second rower Leka Halasima grabbed the first in the 51st minute before centre Viliami Vailea powered up for a double in the 54th and 60th minutes.
With halfback Ronald Volkman converting the first two, the One New Zealand Warriors had a 28-10 lead.
While the Raiders scored a third try to move within 12 with 12 minutes to play, hooker Freddy Lussick crossed off a Kalani Going off load to seal a convincing win.
The Warriors ended a run of three losses and a draw, the win moving them up a place to fourth on the ladder with 19 points, one off the top.
