COACH OF THE YEAR
Breno Ertty, Cypress Bay: Guided the Lightning to a 23-3 record and captured the district and regional championship. They recorded their most wins in school history and reached the state quarterfinal. They appeared in the state tournament for the first time since 2013 and just for the second time. “We had a really well-balanced team. We would have a combination of different players picking it up on offense and defense and it made us a better team. We prepared the right way. The guys wanted it so bad and to have that feeling to make it to states. It was a great experience for them.”
