Marvel’s The Avengers Get a New Roster in Relaunch
Marvel has relaunched The Avengers this week with a revamped roster. Jason Aaron’s run on The Avengers ended with Marvel’s Avengers Assemble event, wrapping up with Avengers Assemble: Omega #1 in April 2023. The team is now being led by Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers, with writer Jed MacKay and artist Carlos Villa serving as the series’ main creative team. The two are reuniting after their time working on Black Cat together, and MacKay has written titles like Moon Knight, Strange, and more since then. The new Avengers roster features Captain America/Sam Wilson, Scarlet Witch, Vision, Thor, Iron Man, and Black Panther.
Fantastic Four Celebrates 700th Issue with Doctor Doom
Marvel’s first family, the Fantastic Four, celebrates their 700th issue this week. Written by Ryan North and drawn by Iban Coello, the comic features Doctor Doom, the team’s greatest villain, who makes his first appearance in their run within the pages of Fantastic Four #7. Not only will the milestone issue see Doom traverse time and space to undo the heroes’ greatest mistake from Fantastic Four #4, but it will also give the team a new home other than the Baxter Building.
