When you hear about a fun band coming to a free summer event, you should really do yourself a favor and check it out. “BobStock” is one of those events. The event has been happening since 2008 in Colorado, it’s time you went.
I went to BobStock for the first time in 2022 and had a great time. The town is great, the vendors are good, and the park is a great setting for the bands. My buddy and I had been eagerly awaiting for them to announce the headliner for 2023.
It was in 2008 that the gang at Bob FM, out of Sterling, Colorado, put on the very first “BobStock Music Festival” in Fort Morgan, which is 45 miles west of Sterling. Fort Morgan is about 85 miles east of Fort Collins.
My buddy and I (who both live in Loveland) saw it as a great summer “adventure” and headed out for 2022 when BobStock when Starship was the Saturday headliner.
The 2023 event kicks off on the evening of Friday, July 7, 2023, and continues on Saturday, July 8, 2023.
The event, which happens every year on the second weekend of July, features about 20 bands performing on four different stages, along with a kids’ area, vendors, and a large beer garden.

Fort Morgan is a great town. I’d been there a couple of times before the 2022 BobStock, to play disc golf on the two great courses they have. In 2022, my buddy and I hit their “Optimist” course on that very hot Saturday before hitting BobStock.

“Fake Figures bassist Bob Bradley has a bunch of cool tattoos and shit. I do not, but I have a lot of unwanted body hair and piss. Bob and I have been homies for almost two decades, and I am honored to manage his shit-piss band Fake Figures (featuring members of Atreyu, Scars of Tomorrow, and Hotwire). And, I gots to say, that man knows a lot about ink and shit. Here are mine and Bob’s 10 favorite rockers with amazing tattoos.” —Scott Waldman
