BLACKPINK’s Lisa has made a beeline to Rottnest Island for a quokka selfie to share with her 94.8 million adoring fans between sold-out shows.
The K-pop star made a trip to see the cuddly marsupials while on the Australian leg of the girl group’s BORN PINK world tour.
She wasted no time flying to Rotto straight after asking fans if she should make the trip during BLACKPINK’s Melbourne show on Sunday.
“I really wanna see a quokka,” Lisa said.
“But I heard that I have to fly to Perth and then take a boat to see them and I was like uhh.”
After the show, she jumped on Instagram and made a poll writing: “Should I go see quokkas?”
Fans flooded the poll voting “yes” and Lisa flew to Rottnest Island to fulfill her quokka dream.
On Wednesday she posted an Instagram carousel of the adorable selfies captioned “Such a long trip to go see you in person bro.”
With Lisa’s following of almost 100 million on Instagram, her snaps could be the most viewed quokka selfies ever and could mean a tourism boost for the already popular island.
Lisa joins a long list of celebrities to take a quokka selfie including Margot Robbie, Chris Hemsworth, Shawn Mendes, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Kelly Slater and Sam Kerr.
BLACKPINK will round up the Australian leg of their world tour in Sydney on June 17 at the Qudos Bank Arena.
