New colourful banners are being strung throughout Lismore to promote signature seasonal events as we encourage locals and visitors alike to return to the CBD and enjoy all Lismore has to offer.
The banners will also feature iconic local organisations, such as the much-loved Northern Rivers Conservatorium, better known as The Con, and the Richmond River Historical Society and many more.
Lismore City Mayor Steve Krieg said the banners will bring life and colour to Lismore.
“Our city has so much to offer and it’s time that we start singing it from the rooftops,” he said.
“With more local business re-opening every day, we want to attract people back into the CBD and greater Lismore to support those businesses.
“These banners are a great way of letting tourists know what’s on offer, and to remind locals that despite the natural disaster, Lismore is still the best place in the world to live and raise a family.”
The banners are now up around the Block, with others to be hung over the next week.
