An award-winning pan-Asian restaurant has announced it will open its first restaurant in Surrey this summer. Renowned for its authentic, exotic, and delicious street-food inspired dishes, Banana Tree plans to open the doors to its new Reigate location in late June.
To mark the occasion, Banana Tree will be giving away 1,000 free panko crispy katsu curries to celebrate the opening of the new restaurant. With both chicken and vegan options available, Banana Tree’s katsu features crispy panko coated bites served with a mouth-watering katsu curry sauce, Japanese rice, edamame beans and house pickle.
The official opening date, and more details about how guests can redeem the Free Katsu offer, will be revealed soon. Part of the Big Table Group, the company behind Las Iguanas and Bella Italia, Banana Tree hand picks the best dishes from Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia to feature on its menu, from soups and salads, to wok-tossed noodles, stir fries, curries and the best Katsu in town, as well as South-East Asia-inspired desserts and cocktails.

Behind the scenes, the team is constantly developing plant-based meat alternatives and testing out recipes so that customers will love them just as much as the originals. Today, more than 40% of Banana Tree’s menu is plant-based.
The new restaurant will be located on the site of the former Café Rouge in Church Street with 118 covers. Guests can also sit back and relax by the bar and enjoy 2-4-1 cocktails and mocktails all day, every day. In addition to this, the full menu will be available on Deliveroo for guests to enjoy Banana Tree from the comforts of their own home.
Anne Chow, managing director at Banana Tree, said: “It’s really exciting to be bringing the flavours of Banana Tree to a new community. We genuinely believe we have the best Katsu Curry out there, which is why we want to celebrate and give locals 1,000 free Katsus to try it for themselves.
“Whether you want to tuck into a Pan-Asian feast, or enjoy 2-4-1 cocktails with friends or just enjoy some light bites, we’ve got something for everyone, and we can’t wait for Reigate to try it for themselves.”
