The track showcases some of the best aspects of heavy music—like loud and lethal riffs, aggressive bass lines and pounding drums. Thankfully though, the four-piece have kept things fresh by also leaning into the EDM world.
Want It is also backed by the powerhouse vocals of frontman Henry Epong, which help bring the track’s gritty lyrical content to life.
In a statement, the band explained the track to be an expression of desire and lust. They went on to discuss how the feeling of obsession inspired them, particularly the difficulty one might have in reflecting on it.
Bad Party stomped onto the scene in 2020. Since then, they’ve released a stack of singles (like Sinking In) and the Beyond Repair EP. They’ve also made impressive strides on the touring circuit, selling out King Lear’s Throne in Brisbane on their very first on-stage performance. They also supported Banks Arcade at a sold-out show earlier this year and performed at AM/PM Emo Night alongside Clay J Gladstone.
The bands promised that more tunes are coming, so keep your eyes on their socials for more.
Want It is available to stream now.
