Tickets can now be booked online for Kingaroy’s pig annual celebration, BaconFest (August 18-20).
Special guest chefs this year will be popular celebrities Miguel Maestre and Alastair McLeod who will cooking over the weekend on the TAFE Queensland stage.
BaconFest will kick off on the Friday evening with the traditional Wine and Swine function in the Kingaroy Town Hall Forecourt.
This fancy cocktail party will be held from 6:00pm-10:00pm.
Then on Saturday and Sunday, there’ll be a host of activities in the Kingaroy CBD including the Little Piggies and Artisan Market, SunPork smoke-off, competitions, entertainment and lots of food trucks.

There’ll also be free youth activities on O’Neill Square and at the Kingaroy Skate Park.
On Sunday, there’ll be choices for breakfast.
At BaconFest headquarters there’ll be the Pig’s Breakfast, with funds raised donated to charity. Organisers have promised loads of bacon plus acoustic music.
This year, Sunday’s Long Table Breakfast will be held in two sittings (7:00-9:00am; and 9:30an-11:30am) at Whipbird Café at Coolabunia.
The three-course meal will be accompanied by live music by Alex the Frenchman.
General admission tickets, entries into the bacon-eating competition and the Rashers Fun Run can also be booked online
“We are so excited to be “Bringing Home The Bacon” again this year and that’s why we’ve chosen this as the festival’s 2023 theme,” Chief Baconeer Anitta Stallwood said.
“We are anticipating this year’s BaconFest to be our biggest and best yet. We’ve listened to the feedback from past attendees and are pleased to say we have more bacon in every form imaginable in Kingaroy for the whole family to wrap their mouths around.”
