Virgin Australia has announced a massive sale for those looking for a sunny getaway during the winter months, but there’s one catch.
Australian airline Qantas has scrapped its male and female designated uniform requirements, which will now permit men to grow out their hair and women to forgo makeup and heels.
Labelled by the airline as its ‘Magic Midweek Gold Coast Sale,’ Virgin said it would be offering 30,000 one-way economy tickets from now until Sunday.
The tickets will be available on selected flights from July to March 2024, leaving on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Virgin Australia said tickets would be $69 from Sydney, $89 from Melbourne and Canberra, and $119 from Adelaide.
Perth, Hobart and Darwin have missed out on the deal.
The airline’s latest sale comes just weeks after it announced passengers could score reward seats for less points.
The Velocity Frequent Flyer Program introduced a new ‘1 Point Rewards’ program, where seats were offered at significantly lower points thresholds.
It changed the minimum points needed for a rewards seat on a domestic flight to 6200 points, down from 7800.
