Asus recently announced its latest Android gaming smartphones—the ROG Phone 7 and the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate almost a month ago. Both phones are finally going on sale in India via the official site and Vijay sales, and here are the details regarding the variants, colour options, specifications, and more.

The entry-level ROG Phone 7 costs Rs 74,999 and comes in Phantom Black and Storm White colour variants with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. Similarly, the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate, with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB internal storage, costs Rs 99,999, and it even includes an AeroActive Cooler 7 in the box.
Besides the new processor, both variants of the ROG Phone 7 feature a large vapour chamber to enhance cooling. Not just that, the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate has a special port to further improve the cooling efficiency. When paired with an external cooler, the port helps the phone sustain peak performance even further by directly cooling the processor. While the latest gaming smartphones look a lot like their predecessors, they are equipped with the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor along with several other minor changes.
Both models have a large 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate, along with a 720Hz touch sampling rate. The display can reach up to 1500nits of peak brightness, and it even has lower touch latency of 32ms to enhance the gaming experience.
The triple camera array at the back features a 50 MP primary sensor with support for 8K video recording. Similarly, both variants also feature a 32 MP selfie camera. These phones also pack features like AirTrigger Ultrasonic trigger buttons and ten motion control gestures.
Fueled by a 6,000 mAh battery, both phones support up to 65W of fast charging, and a 35W fast charger is included in the box. In terms of software, both phones offer Android 13 OS and are confirmed to receive two major Android OS upgrades and four years of security updates.
