Arlington Municipal Court Conducts Citation and Decision Basis February 21 – March 13, 2023

The Arlington Municipal Court will conduct its annual adjudication process from February 21 to March 13, 2023.
Warrant Resolution encourages defendants to voluntarily comply with their outstanding court obligations. Individuals who are concerned that they have an outstanding warrant from the City of Arlington or have received a violation and are unsure of what options are available are encouraged to contact the Arlington Municipal Court. If you have an outstanding citation, you are encouraged to call, email, visit the city’s website or come to court in person to take the necessary steps to resolve the matter.
As an incentive to resolve warrants during this time frame, the City of Arlington Municipal Court will waive collection agency fees on warrants paid in full between February 21 and March 13, 2023. To receive this incentive, the official warrant notice must be presented. Persons with warrants in jurisdictions other than Arlington should contact those jurisdictions for information on how to clear those warrants.
Safe Harbor is state law. Individuals may appear voluntarily anytime to resolve their outstanding cases without fear of being arrested for Arlington Municipal Court warrants.
“I want to emphasize that Safe Harbor is year-round and does not only occur under Warrant Resolution. Providing access to the courts without fear of arrest is critical to enhancing procedural fairness and public trust. We want to provide a forum where defendants can be responsible, accountable and resolve their violations,” said Court Administrator Jake Medrano.
