A third annual charity football match took place at Crewe Alexandra’s stadium – in memory of a former lifelong fan and stadium announcer.
The Andrew Scoffin Memorial Match was held at Mornflake Stadium, Gresty Road, on the evening of Friday 12 May.
The first match, in May 2021, was organised by Andrew himself, to raise funds for The Christie, one of the largest cancer treatment centres in Europe and an international leader in research.

The Andrew Scoffin Memorial Match has been organised by Andrew’s two sons, Ashley and Warren Scoffin, for the past two years.
This has been to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, who support people with cancer: emotionally, physically, and financially.
Compère for the evening was Crewe Alex stadium announcer, John Rodgers.
