A NEW exhibit titled The Mystery Unfolds is on at the Living Arts Space in the Bendigo Visitor Centre and is celebrating the works of local creative Paul Harrington.
Harrington attends local community-based art space Donut Studios which offers a creative outlet for those living with a disability.
Amanda Sendy works closely with Harrington at Donut Studios and said it was great to see the art on display.
“We were looking around contacting places to see if there was anywhere we could have our artists exhibited,” she said. “At that point, it was Paul specifically.
“We were given the opportunity at The Living Art Space and Paul had spent probably the last six months working towards that.”
Ms Sendy said Harrington was a dedicated artist and it was a pleasure to watch his creative process and see his work go on show.
“Paul has been here since 2021 and we have seen his art progress as we go,” she said. “We’ve been able to see how much he’s enjoyed it here.
“He is very focused and just enjoys making art, but I think it was probably a bit overwhelming really when he saw it all.
“He had a lot of family there and they were all very excited. I thought it was amazing.”
Harrington himself said he finds inspiration for his art in several places and loves to paint.
“Sometimes I will see pictures in trees or anywhere else and my own imagination,” he said. “It’s an enjoyable pleasure.”
