Al Ahly put one foot and a half in their fourth successive caf champions league final after beating Esperance de Tunis 3-0 in the first leg at Rades Stadium.
Percy Tau gave Al Ahly the lead after just eight minutes, before the same player doubled the Reds’ lead in the 55th minute, scoring a Champions League semi-final brace for a second consecutive year.
kahraba then sealed the big win with a third goal in the 75th minute, tapping in Hussein El-Shahat’s cross from close range.
As a result of their impressive performances, Mohammad El Shenawy, Yasser Ibrahim, Percy Tau, Mahmoud Kahraba, and Ali Maaloul have all made it to the Team of the Week in the first leg of the semi-finals.
Al Ahly dominated the Team of the Week with five players, with Sundowns having four players and two for Wydad Casablanca.
On the other hand, Percy Tau claimed the Goal of the Week award for his second goal against Esperance de Tunis, which saw him dribble past a couple of defenders, before finding the back of the net.
Al Ahly will face Esperance de Tunis again in the second leg on Friday, 19th of May at the Cairo International Stadium.
