After Conor McGregor Took it Too Far with the Heat Mascot Punch, Latest Update on Medical Emergency Comes as a Sigh of Relief to NBA Fans

During Game 4 of the NBA Finals, Conor McGregor stunned the NBA world by landing an actual punch on the Miami Heat mascot, Burnie. While the Kaseya Center erupted at the humorous skit performed by McGregor and Burnie, the medical emergency update following the punch left the fans in disbelief. After being taken to the ER, Burnie was given some pain medication. With his status in doubt, a recent update has come out to the relief of his well-wishers.

The #1 seed Denver Nuggets have dominated the Heat in the Finals, building an imposing 3-1 lead. Despite Jimmy Butler and Co’s undying effort, Miami repeatedly fell short in the series. Serbian superstar Nikola Jokic has emerged as a strong candidate for the Finals MVP award with his dominant best in this series. Nonetheless, a lot of the focus has been on Burnie since Friday.

Positive update on Burnie

In an attempt to promote his latest sports product ‘TIDL’, Conor McGregor found himself in trouble. The halftime skit involved McGregor punching the mascot to the ground and using the new pain-relief spray to subside the pain. However, the man under the mascot ended up taking a couple of actual punches and had to be moved to the ER.

Soon after the incident, the medical team revealed that the mascot was alright. Moreover, a recent update from the senior NBA writer, Sam Amick, revealed that Burnie is ready to get back on his feet for the next home game. 

However, it is still uncertain whether the Heat would force a Game 6 against the Nuggets considering the sheer dominance displayed in the previous outings.
