Aaron Rodgers will be a mile tall come June.
The Psychedelic Science conference lists the quarterback as a speaker for the event in Denver, June 19-23.
The event’s website promises classes and workshops that “provide an opportunity to delve into the world of psychedelic science.”
Appearing on the “Aubrey Marcus Podcast” last summer, Rodgers extolled the virtues of ayahuasca, a psychoactive tea that includes DMT, a hallucinogenic drug.
“To me, one of the core principles of your mental health is that self-love,” Rodgers said at the time. “That’s what ayahuasca did for me was help me see how to love myself unconditionally.
“It is only in that unconditional self-love that I am able to truly be able to love others unconditionally. And what better way to work on my mental health than to have such an experience?”
He said trying the drug led to an awakening and laid the groundwork for him to win back-to-back NFL MVP awards in 2020 and 2021.
“I laid there afterwards on my mat and opened my eyes and it felt like I was opening my eyes for the first time,” Rodgers said.
“I really feel like that experience paved the way for me to have the best season of my career.”
After a relatively disappointing 2022 campaign in which the Packers missed the playoffs, the 39-year-old Rodgers is now at a turning point in his NFL career.
He has been in talks with the Jets to join Gang Green in 2023 after spending his first 18 NFL seasons with the Packers.
Jets owner Woody Johnson, general manager Joe Douglas, head coach Robert Saleh and offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett — who worked with Rodgers in the same role in Green Bay — flew to meet with the quarterback at his home in California earlier this week in an attempt to woo. him to the east.
Since Rodgers is under contract with the Packers, Green Bay, which selected Rodgers’ apparent replacement Jordan Love in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, gave the Jets permission to hold talks.
