The region shivered through icy temperatures, fog and cold rain last week.
Most centres struggled to reach double figures each day, with the shortest day of the year on Wednesday, June 21 bringing some of the lowest daytime maximum temperatures ever recorded.
The Bureau of Meteorology recorded a top temperature of 6.6°C in Shepparton on June 21, making it the coldest day ever recorded at the Shepparton airport weather station.
It was also the coldest day in Shepparton since July 1995, when the mercury only reached 6.1°C (July 8) and 6.4°C (July 9), recorded at the old Lemnos weather station.
Echuca-Moama shivered through its coldest day in nearly 13 years on June 21, reaching a top temperature of 8.0°C. BOM data shows Yarrawonga hit 7°C, Kyabram made it to 6.1°C and Tatura 6.0°C.
Rain continued to fall during the week, pushing up river and creek levels across the region and boosting June rainfall figures.
Shepparton has now had 114.4mm for June, Echuca 91.3mm, Kyabram 101.4mm, Tatura 122mm, Yarrawonga 76.6mm, Benalla 116.1mm, Kerang 76.4mm, Deniliquin 56.2mm and Strathbogie 212.8mm.
Only a few centres are forecast to receive showers this week.
