Premier Racing at Sandown Park tonight includes the appearance of in-form chaser Transponder.
The Jason Thompson-trained chaser has been victorious in six of his eight past starts including Friday night’s Pink Diamond Champion Sprinter Final (460m) at Warragul.
Another one of the wins was at The Meadows over 525 metres (June 3), but Transponder is looking to improve his record at Sandown Park with one victory and five minor placings from his seven starts over the 515-metre trip.

Transponder (Box 6 tonight) is facing a couple of classy rivals in Boo Boo Billy (Box 4) and Tangela Bale (Box 8).
Boo Boo Billy – a Group 1 Gold Bullion (520m) finalist – recorded back-to-back wins earlier this month before finishing fifth in the Pink Diamond Champion Short Course Final (400m) at Warragul on Friday night.
Tangela Bale is in a rich vein of form with four successive victories including a dominant performance at Sandown Park on Sunday night and six wins from eight races overall.
Expert form analyst The Watchdog believes Transponder will prevail for the 12th time in his career at start 23 in Race 5 at 7:31pm.
Mark and Lisa Delbridge have a plethora of runners at Sandown Park this evening.
Three-time Group 1 winner Jarick Bale – triumphant for the 37th time in his 103-start career last Thursday night – contests Race 4 at 7:08pm over 595 metres.

The reigning Group 1 Melbourne Cup (515m) champion Yachi Bale lines up against Group 1 placegetter and kennelmate Landyn Bale and Group 1 finalist Fred Rose – the greyhound that beat Landyn Bale last Thursday night – in Race 7 at 8:13pm over 515 metres.
Group 1 Galaxy (715m) winner First Picked continues her preparation for the Group 1 Queensland Cup (710m) in tonight’s $107,825 Group 3 Super Stayers Invitational (710m) at Albion Park, which is Race 8 at 9:22pm.
Rejuvenate, Amron Boy and Postman Pat headline their respective preludes of the Group 1 Brisbane Cup (520m) beginning with Race 4 at 7:55pm.
