Queensland Police have released shocking footage of an allegedly stolen truck being chased on a busy motorway.
A man has been charged with a string of offences after a dramatic police chase during which he allegedly damaged several vehicles before being arrested after the truck crashed into a Mansfield home.
Video released by Queensland Police shows the truck being tracked by a police helicopter as it winds through the streets and is involved with several near misses.
At one point the truck finds itself in a cul-de-sac before mounting the kerb to get back onto a main road.
It is also seen making contact with another vehicle, with sparks flying as it attempts to pass the stationary car.
Queensland Police have released shocking footage of a truck chase through suburban Brisbane.
It is also seen squeezing in between cars in an attempt to get away.
“Investigators allege the man damaged multiple vehicles across Brisbane throughout the late afternoon, centred on the Pacific Motorway/M1 in the vicinity of Woolloongabba and Holland Park,” Queensland Police said.
The chase came to an end when the truck became cornered and it crashed into the deck of a home at Allinga Street, Mansfield in southern Brisbane.
“The driver ran from officers who swiftly arrested him without incident, Queensland Police said.
The man has been charged with a string of charges including dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, robbery with violence and two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
