Announcing the passing of a loved one in the local press is a long-standing tradition and we are proud of the trust placed in us to make these important announcements.

Rita Bridge
Rita Bridge passed away 1st June 2023 at Marie Curie Hospice after a short illness at the age of 76. She lived in Blackburn with her sister Sandra. She met her husband Terry (deceased) and they married in 1967. Over the next 3 years Rita had 2 children, Terry and Sandra, living in Wavertree. Soon after they moved to Halewood in 1972 until her passing away. Over the years she welcomed her four grandchildren Anthony, Kayley, Jake and Summer and a daughter in law Colette – Terry’s wife. She loved holidaying, originally camping in the 1970’s and then later in life she began holidaying abroad and enjoyed cruising with her husband and family. Rita was a crossing patrol (Lollipop lady), she loved this job which she did for over 45 years, until her illness stopped her. Rita was well known in the village area of Halewood and the St Marks area where she crossed many family generations whilst in this role, she loved interacting with the children and parents as she crossed them. Rita enjoyed going to bingo at St Marks social club. 16 years ago, she joined the local gym and became friends with a small group of ladies, together they led an active social life going to the gym, going on days out, going for meals, meeting up in the cafe. Details for Funeral Rita’s funeral will leave her home address at 11am on Thursday 22nd June and arrive at Springwood Crematorium at 11:30am for the service then on to St Marks Social club. Family asks for family flowers only and all donations collected will be forwarded to Marie Currie Hospice, Speke Road, Liverpool as per Rita and family’s request. (Russell) (Pam) It is with immense sadness that the family of Mrs Pam Partridge announce her death on 20th May 2023 aged 70 years. Born in Douglas, Isle of Man, Pam died at her home in Kenilworth and will be lovingly remembered by her son Billy, daughter Penny, and her extended family. Devoted wife of the late Steve Partridge, Pam was the founder and director of Jobs for Coventry for over 25 years, an extensive portfolio of companies which incorporated vocational training, small business development and charitable enterprise, with international connections. Whilst studying at the University of Warwick, Pam established the festival branch of Samaritans which still operates today. Pam had a passion for gardening and cooking, always providing care and support for those around her. The funeral service will be held at Oakley Wood Crematorium South Chapel, Royal Leamington Spa at 3.30pm on Wednesday 21st June to which all are welcome to attend. Reunited with her beloved Husband Eric, much loved Mum of Alan (deceased) and Barbara, devoted Gran of Simon, Graham, Anna, Peter, Michael and Victoria. Betty dedicated her life to her family and ensured the home was full of love and laughter. She touched the lives of so many with her generosity, empathy and loyalty.
