Mathoura Bowling Club will be hosting its Gulpa Creek Open Fours Tournament.
The event will be conducted over two days and the $200 entry fee will include lunch on both days.

Congratulations are in order today for district woman, Rachel Kelly (Vagg).
Rachel, who has been described as an outstanding leader, has been named chair of the principal community advisory body in the Murray Darling Basin.
She will take up the post on July 1, advising the Murray-Darling Basin Authority on policy and management.
Her previous experience includes working in policy in the rice industry, and serving as vice chair of the NSW Irrigators Council.
She also offers an informed and influential community voice to the advisory board of on-ground issues and understanding of issues facing rural communities across the Murray and Murrumbidgee regions
Local farmers and farming communities will welcome the appointment of a person who has the knowledge and know-how of getting things done and is not afraid of putting their case to the powers that be.

In its latest round the youngsters argued against children under 12 having mobile phones, and were again successful.
