Husband and wife country music artists Brooke McClymont and Adam Eckersley are set to impress crowds at the 2023 Stroud Show next month.
The pair, currently on their Country Music, You and Beer tour, will be performing hits as the annual event winds down with its Brick and Rolling Pin Throwing Competition on Saturday 8 July.
The gig follows the singer-songwriters’ three Golden Guitar awards at the 2023 Tamworth Country Music Festival.
Although performing together since 2018, Brooke and Adam are both remarkable artists in their own right.
Along with her two sisters, Brooke is part of ARIA Award-winning country music trio, The McClymonts, and has written songs for Olivia Newton-John and Kate DeAraugo.
Adam is also an award-winning, top-charting country music artist who leads musical group, The Adam Eckersley Band.
This month the duo released their new album Up, Down & Sideways.
Befittingly they will join Stroud audiences in marking its family-friendly country-style day out, celebrating all the charm of small-town festivities.
The annual event includes a vibrant street parade which will start at 10am, followed by the famous Brick and Rolling Pin Competition at 11am.
There will be countless family activities, markets and food stalls available throughout the day.
After a day filled with family fun, crowds will be invited to sit back and enjoy a lively and heartfelt performance by McClymont and Eckersley from 5.30pm.
The Stroud Show aims to bring together communities in and around Stroud, with organisers promising “an opportunity for the young and old to dance, sing along and enjoy spectacular country music”.
Brick-throwing and concert bundle tickets are available online only and include a ‘complimentary camping pass’ for Saturday for those who want to turn the day into a family weekend.
The Stroud Show event committee will also be serving a barbecue breakfast on Sunday morning.
