Rookies’ impressive form in the Eastern Goldfields Netball Association’s division one competition has paved the way for a two-game lead in the standings.
In a one-sided clash last Friday night, Rookies beat NVUS by 22 goals, 56-34.
It extended their win-loss record to 6-1, with the squad’s lone blemish against Mana 1 in round three.
Also last weekend, Steelers retained second place with a 48-45 win over Imperials and Sonix 1 beat Mana 1, 42-36.
Mana are locked on four wins with Steelers, but are third on percentage.
After opening the season with two defeats, defending premiers Sonix have gradually hit their straps by winning three of their past five games.
