A Cairns woman will join a group of “regular people” embarking on action-filled adventures in exotic locations as part of a popular travel series – and they’re still casting. Find out more here.
Adventure All-Stars is an Australian travel show that features regular people embarking on action-filled adventures in exotic destinations for “a trip of a lifetime.”
Last season, the team were surprised with activities in each location, including river tubing, Indigenous experiences, bungy jumping, white water rafting and exploring the reef in Far North Queensland.
Adventure All-Stars is a show famous for its philanthropy, tipping in $1.2m to Australian charities in 2022.
Cairns local Cass Jovner has been selected already for the next season, and is “super excited” to give it a go.
“My son was recently diagnosed with ADHD, so I thought what better way to help the foundation then to raise money and get involved,” Ms Jovner said.
“I’m super excited to get involved … but if the activities revolve around heights it might be a slightly different story.”
Ms Jovner’s goal is $15,000 for ADHD Foundation Australia. .
“It’s six days away, embarking on a bunch of random activities across Australia which means as well as it bringing money to the foundations that need it, it also highlights travel spots across Australia,” Ms Jovner said.
“We don’t find out what we’re doing and what locations until just before.”
Cairns Organisation United for Cancer Health (COUCH), a charity aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of people living with cancer by providing cancer care, will be the main recipient of the this year’s fundraising.
Adventure All-Stars executive producer Troy Gray said it was the franchise’s charitable aspect, that made the show unlike any other.
“We are creating television history by raising millions of dollars to support a record number of Australian charities,” Mr Gray said.
“Also, let’s not forget that Adventure All Stars is a groundbreaking travel show promoting incredible destinations to a global audience – filmed and presented as socially positive, harmonious and visually spectacular television content.”
The show screens in 25 countries to an audience approaching 100 million people. International broadcast partners include the Outdoor Channel, TVNZ and Tata Sky.
Twelve adventurers will be chosen for the fourth season.
The third season will air in July this year.
