The Fredericksburg Girl Scout Service Unit held a Court of Awards with a Bridging Ceremony for Troop 44101 of Fredericksburg and Troop 44105 of Harper on May 17 at the Tatsch Haus at Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park.
The event featured a catered dinner following the ceremony for family and friends.
The ceremony was held out on the open patio area with a small bridge and tables adorned with yellow flowers.
Certificates for selling different amounts of cookies, membership pins, badges that were earned and patches for activities that the girls participated with were presented to Edith Beatrice Mullen, Emerson Meyer, Hayden Hudson, Juliette Holbrook, Lila Treft, Tori Bopp, Abigail Fitzsimmons, Abigail Rocha, Abigail Warriner, Adelyn Barter, Amelia Haley, Azul Alva, Caroline Haley, Clarice Hutson, Darcey Metersky, Eliza Watson, Evelynn Walker, Harper Hudson, Harper Meyer, Isla Averill, Josephine Metersky, Kate Price, Kylee Wright Leighton Haley, Parker Bonn, Ramsey Cobb, Seraphina White, Ximena Cardoza, Coralai Meador, Emma May, Kyndall Steitle, Evelyn Cox, Leah Phillips and Shelbie Sherman of Harper.
Certificates of appreciation and thank you gifts were presented Anna Hudson, Carrie Watson, Charli and Devin Mullen, Erin Sherman, JoAnna Wright, Karmin Walker, Kim Davis, Marcia Bonn, Michelle Murray, and Sharon Wahrmund for their service as Troop Leaders and event coordinators.
During the Bridging Ceremony, two Daisies, Edith Beatrice Mullen and Tori Bopp, joined the Brownies. Before the Brownies Bridged, the new Brownies joined the other Brownies in singing the “Brownie Smile Song” for a last time as a group.
Thirteen Brownies Bridged to Junior, including Abigail Rocha, Abigail Warriner, Adelyn Barter, Azul Alva, Eliza Watson, Harper Hudson, Isla Averill, Josephine Metersky, Kylee Wright, Leighton Haley, Parker Bonn, Seraphina White and Ximena Cardoza.
Two girls Bridged to Cadettes and they are Emma May and Kyndall Steitle while one girl Bridged to Senior and that was Shelbie Sherman of Harper.
During the Bridging Ceremony, the girls remove their old uniforms on one side of a bridge and walk across the bridge and receive a new uniform on the other side of the bridge. Before the closing of the ceremony the combined group of girls sang “Make New Friends.”
