An award-winning Mad Men actor has shared photos of her trying out surfing for the first time on the Gold Coast.
Alison Brie, wife of 21 Jump Street actor Dave Franco, was on the Gold Coast for the production of a new TV mini series called Apples Never Fall.
The adaptation of the best-selling novel by Liane Moriarty cast Jurassic Park star Sam Neill, 75, as Stan Delaney and American Beauty star Annette Bening, 64, as Joy Delaney.
The veteran actors will portray the parents of four children as Joy disappears and her family are forced to delve into their past.
Brie, who will play Amy Delaney, shared a collection of photos to her 1.5m followers on Instagram of her surfing for the first time while on the Gold Coast for filming.
“Tried a new thing”.
The photos show her outside the Currumbin Alley Surf School van with artist/actor Paula Placido, actor Essie Randles and director Dawn Shadforth.
Only a few hours later Brie shared a post dedicated to Franco which said “Happy Birthday to the love of my life” while in Melbourne.
Over the past nine weeks, Brie had shared posts of her in Byron Bay, Sydney, Melbourne and the Gold Coast.
