In the opening round of the season, the Cougars beat the Falcons by two goals.
Hocking’s under-19 Falcons team beat the Geelong Cougars in last year’s grand final. Division one is one rung below the state’s elite championship level.
Hocking and the Falcons are on a four-match winning streak and sit equal on points with the second-ranked Hawks.
The teams played a round three draw, 50-all, when Hocking had 36 shots on goal and shot 23. The Falcons and Hawks play for the second time on Wednesday, June 14, at the state netball centre.
The finals series starts on July 28, with grand finals scheduled for August 9.
