Cheryl stunned fans last December when she was cast in West End production 2:22 A Ghost Story for her debut acting role but it appears those performances will lead to more offers in the near future
Cheryl is set for a huge comeback following her successful stint into acting as showbiz bosses fight for her return.
The Girls Aloud star, 39, stunned fans last December when she was cast in West End production 2:22 A Ghost Story for her debut acting role.
She played lead role Jenny in the Danny Robins created thriller play, which was performed at the Lyric Theatre in London, and starred through her tenure – lasting from January 21 to April 23 this year.
Her star power certainly came to the fore during her four month spell on stage as the venue was virtually a sell out for each show and that has got showbiz bosses fighting for her signature for another West End role.
With a Girls Aloud reunion looking highly unlikely in the near future, Cheryl looks set to stay in the acting world as she mulls over her next move.
A source told The Sun : “Accepting the Ghost Story gig was always a gamble but it has breathed new life into Cheryl’s career.
“She knows her time as a pop star has come to an end and she openly admits she no longer understands the music industry, but being back on stage was a real buzz for her.
“She loved every minute and wants to get another show under her belt.
“There are multiple offers on the table so it’s about picking the one that is right for her.”
Her bandmates Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh attended the press launch back in January, which had concluded with a standing ovation from the audience.
The show officially opened in February and fellow Girls Aloud bandmate Nadine Coyle showed her support by attending a performance of the play in April.
Cheryl performed in the acclaimed play alongside former EastEnders star Jake Wood, Scott Karim and Louise Ford.
Following her final performance on April 23, Cheryl penned an emotional tribute on Instagram to her 3.4 million followers.
She wrote: “So .. that’s it 2:22 is done. And just like that a new adventure becomes a memory.. and what a memory it is. I have loved every second, every person!
