Today, third-party developers released new pictures of upcoming Microsoft Flight Simulator planes, and a number of airports were made available. We start by taking a fresh look at the de Havilland Canada Dash 7 in development at Pilot’s, which is an old but good plane. It’s almost ready to come out, just needs one more beta cycle, and it will work with the TDS GTN.
Next, DC Designs gave us another look at the F-4 Phantom, which is coming soon. This time, we get to see the cockpit, the dynamic gun sight, and the radar, which has icons that represent different parts of the landscape.
“All navigation and TACAN functions will be there, and I think we’ll actually be putting in the INS (which is the RIO’s job), which will allow for pinpoint navigation, but we’ll have to confirm that because it’s an older system with analog gauges that might be hard to code correctly. Still, everything is going well.”
The person who is making the plane hopes to have it ready to fly by the end of the month. The Houston William P. Hobby Airport (KHOU) in Texas, US, was released by Texas Simulations. It can be bought right now at the FSimStudios store for $18.99.
