A solar panel farm and battery energy storage system could be built on land at an historic estate.
The site, which would include ground-mounted photovoltaic panels, would cover an area of around 163 acres at the Chillington Estate near Brewood and provide 40 megawatts of battery storage.
Elgin Energy is set to put forward a planning application to South Staffordshire Council for the development. If approved it could be in place for around 40 years and access to the site would be via Port Lane.
