The Flying Scotsman will call in at Nuneaton Railway Station this morning, at around 9.39am – and quite the crowd is expected to see it arrive.
It was due to leave London Euston at 6.48am, and will arrive at Nuneaton to pick up passengers at 9.39am, leaving at 9.42am. It’s quite a short window for fans who want to catch a glimpse of the iconic locomotive!
Rail enthusiasts are being urged to grab their cameras to capture the moment. According to the Railway Touring Company, the train will be steam-hauled throughout from London Euston to Chester by steam locomotive No.60103 Flying Scotsman, in what is its Centenary Year.

One of our readers Kate Creagh told us: “Viewing was from platform 1 and there was another train in the way.

The journey
So, the Flying Scotsman was due to leave London Euston 6.48am.
It was passing through several counties, as we’ve seen from the pictures below, before reaching Warwickshire.
The famous old locomotive was set to arrive to Rugby at 8.44am where it was due a mini pit stop.
It’s due to arrive at Nuneaton Train Station at 9.36am before setting off again on its journey to Chester.
It should by all rights, be travelling through the east of Warwickshire as we speak (or write!).
