The sunny and dry weather means that Cornwall will see some of the hottest temperatures in the UK. Temperatures across Cornwall tomorrow are forecast to rise to highs of 24°C, two degrees warmer than the heat we had four days ago.
So when and where will it be the warmest in Cornwall tomorrow? The Met Office is predicting that Newquay, Bodmin, Launceston and Tintagel will be the hottest places at 1pm, reaching 22°C.
Temperatures will climb a few degrees throughout the day, with highs of 24°C in Launceston at 4pm with Bodmin, St Austell and Newquay slightly cooler at 22°C.
But the sunshine is set to come to an abrupt end in Cornwall this weekend as Storm Oscar wreaks havoc. The Met Office have issued thunderstorm warnings across large parts of the UK ahead of the weekend as Storm Oscar moves up the country, bringing a front of low pressure to the south west.
Met Office meteorologist Alex Deakin says: “We are stuck in this repeat cycle at the moment, so Thursday again will be pretty good, the warmest weather reaching 24/25°C in the south. But on Friday (June 9), the highest temperatures are more likely to reach 25°C, and it will be sunnier away from the south coast strip.”
While temperatures are expected to remain in the low 20s throughout the day, the south west will see some stronger winds, with a risk of isolated showers across the county tomorrow afternoon (Friday).
The Met Office has forecast chillier temperatures for the weekend with highs of just 17°C, coupled with the lingering cloud coverage from Friday into Saturday and Sunday, it should make for a cooler weekend.
