- Ex-bikie shows off trademark bling in court
- Dayne Brajkovich attended civil matter
- He is facing unrelated criminal charges
Former Hells Angels bikie Dayne Brajkovich hasn’t disappointed in court, sporting his trademark gold jewellery worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
The ex-enforcer and gold fan appeared before the Western Australian Residential Tenancy Court on Thursday morning in a civil matter.
Around his neck was his signature gold chain and on his left wrist a hefty gold bracelet – worth about $216,000 and $103,000, respectively.
On his hands were the other items he’s rarely seen without: eight 16-karat gold rings, spelling CINA on one hand (short for Jacinta, his wife) and HATE on the other (because “hate is hate” as he once told The West Australian newspaper).
Also sporting a red tracksuit, accompanied by wife Jactina Hill in a striking electric blue pants suit, Mr Brajkovich was only before the court briefly and left soon after his appearance.
Matters before the tenancy court are closed, and therefore the details of the matter are unknown.
Mr Brajkovich is known to own at least one investment property.
He’s currently before the courts on a criminal matter relating to allegedly storming the Cloverdale property in October, threatening the tenants with a knife as they were trying to move back, and demanding a bond payment.
Prosecutors in previous appearances on those matters argue the bond had already been paid.
In January he was acquitted of two charges relating to alleged display of gang insignia, with WA Police having to pay him $4000 in court costs.
He made headlines again in March in the fallout from the Perth Mint gold doping scandal.
The ABC had revealed Perth Mint had gold bars they were trying to sell to the Shanghai Gold Exchange knocked back because they didn’t meet purity requirements.
Part of the Four Corners investigation alleged Mint employees hadn’t carried out background checks on Mr Brajkovich when he walked in and bought $27,000 in gold with cash.
Its unclear if Thursday’s civil matter before the tenancy court was related to that Cloverdale property.
Mr Brajkovich is due back before Perth Magistrates Court in August on seven charges relating to that alleged October incident.
He and Ms Hill, 31, who isn’t accused of any wrongdoing, made no comment to the media leaving court on Thursday.
Mr Brajkovich was kicked out of the Hells Angels in January 2022, The West Australian reported on Thursday because he’d allegedly assaulted the club president at the time.
